Overall, Knut's latest endeavor is sonically more impressive than Bastardiser and reveals significant growth in the musicianship department. The only downside to the music Knut plays is that oftentimes riffs or musical themes are merely touched upon before proceeding to the next idea. Although, Knut aren't the only band suffering from uncomfortable transitions and strange riff constructions, the Swiss outfit would benefit greatly from more memorable songs (ie., "You Deserve Me"). If Bastardiser compelled you to pull out your Am Rep catalog for a nightlong session of abrasive rock, then Knut's self-titled EP is definitely worthwhile and the exquisite packaging certainly helps. There are improvements to be made, but Knut are mammoth!
