The build on "Neon Guide," now there's the thing. You know it's coming and they're holding out on you. But you hang on enjoying the tease. Through the fuzz and gravel, a melody is actually plenty prominent. The swampy "H/armless" has a milder guitar sirening in the background while the heavy chunking keeps it in check. Reminds me of Prong. "Ice Will" is high-speed insanity. The fancy stepping rhythms have to maneuver with precision. "March" comes in like a Neolithic hunter stomping and bashing. It plods heavy with determination, never truly reaching rage until fifteen minutes in. After the instruments have dropped out one by one, the target is found. And the bloodshed commences. I don't usually have the patience for this sort of grandiose epic, but somehow it still has my interest.
Folks into Coalesce, Crowbar, pissing off girlfriends and Nordic hammer of Thor type stuff will be all up on this Knut. As stated, this ain't my bag but I'm sure as hell going to rifle through it.
